HSI Advances 175 Pts; Xiaomi Thrives but Nio Subdued

$Hang Seng Index(800000.HK)$ opened 175 pts or 1% higher at 18,659. $Hang Seng China Enterprises Index(800100.HK)$ opened 62 pts or 1% higher at 6,449. $Hang Seng TECH Index(800700.HK)$ opened 65 pts or 1.5% higher at 4,299.

As for blue chips, $XIAOMI-W(01810.HK)$ , with its non-IFRS interim adjusted net profit soaring 70% which beat expectations, added 1.8% at $12.6.

As to other stocks having released their results, $NIO-SW(09866.HK)$ slumped 3% after reporting net loss of RMB6.1 billion in 2Q.

$COUNTRY GARDEN(02007.HK)$ proposed a 15.4% discount share placement to $KINGBOARD HLDG(00148.HK)$ involving $270 million for debt repayment. CG slipped 3.3%, while KINGBOARD rallied 3%.
