dydxequalszero Nomoredota: This is not dumping. This is doing the logical thing. I bought at 33.xx and sold at 35.xx. After that it ran up to 36.80. However, I don’t feel a tinge of regret. For those that chased it up to 36.50 and above, it’s actually the correct thing to sell and cut loss. In the first place, never chase local stocks when it’s near ATH. Local companies are not like US stocks whereby the whole world is pouring in the money and can sustain a prolonged price increase. Most people in other countries don’t even know DBS exists and the momentum can’t be sustained. The price will continue to drop to 34 and even 33 after the ex-date of dividends and further after the bonus issue. It’ll likely take at least 2-3 years before DBS will test new highs of around 36.xx again. So it’s better to sell now and buy back at 30 or 31 after the bonus issue.
dydxequalszero : And never believe analyst when they say the target for DBS is 38.30 or whatever. Most just say so in order to push prices up so that their organisations can offload at higher prices. In the end retail investors suffer.
