GM and the UAW come to tentative agreement
General Motors and the United Auto Workers union have come to a tentative agreement, the union and company announced Monday afternoon, just two days after the union expanded the strike at America’s largest automaker.
“Like the agreements with Ford and Stellantis, the GM agreement has turned record profits into a record contract,” said a statement from the union.
Union members will get hefty double-digit pay raises that are said to cost GM nearly $7B over the next 4.5 years
6 week strike over $7B Think of the THIRY billion invested into money losing EV R&D for a product that the public doesn’t want, nor can afford, nor is profitable. What an epic corporate destruction of shareholder value. GM stock chart is a disgrace!

Substitute goods at play, but I think all costs passed down to buyer, in the end.
I wonder how elastic car demand is.
Need a car to work, it’s not like you just walk.
Used car market supply impacted by COVID supply for the next decade.
