I am a 28 year old, havent been long in the workforce but I believe my little efforts in learning to invest will make my life easier once I get a hang of this. I am investing for the long term and hope to test and learn first before committing more. Investing in S&P 500 $Vanguard S&P 500 ETF(VOO.US$ was a no brainer but of course that’s not really sufficient to earn you a side income.
Hence sometimes I start looking into the company analysis to get a sense of their overall long term P/L to determine if its a good company. Stock prices fluctuates up and down but what doesnt change is the business fundamentals and as long as they have a healthy growth, its probably worth exploring.
I am also using Cash Plus just to squeeze the value out of every cent. Nothing in the world should sit for free, so why should your money? If its just idling, trust me, its dwindling. Same with us, we need to keep learning and growing.
What really helped me ease out the panic, was also to be more focused, in the sense you dont need 10 great companies to earn, you just need 1-2. Other than that, I also choose to diversify to spread my risk by investing in different markets. SG/ US stocks. It really helps.
For SG stocks, there isnt really much you can do because its mostly going sideways so I do it more for the dividends.
So happy that moomoo is encouraging females to be the driver of their own financial future. Finance/ investing shouldn’t be a guy thing but a shared responsibility in this day and age. Everyone is capable of owning and paving their own future. You can win or lose but at the end of the day, the key is to be the navigator of your own journey.
