GameStop's Director Advocates for Retail Investors During Dedicated Community Event
Larry Cheng, the Co-Founder of Volition Capital and a director and board member of GameStop, participated in an event dedicated to the retail investor community. The event was hosted by Bill Pulte Jr., CEO of Pulte Capital Partners, and the internet influencer PP, from ThePPShow. The latter is a platform that addresses news and issues for companies that are popular with the retail investor community - such as Bed Bath & Beyond and GameStop.
During the event, Larry Cheng responded to a series of host-selected questions, many of which were about GameStop CEO Ryan Cohen. Topics included the genesis of the relationship between Cheng and Cohen and details on the two’s day-to-day collaboration.
Cheng was an initial investor in Chewy - Get Free Report, the now multi-billion-dollar pet services company co-founded by Ryan Cohen. Cheng invested $15 million and received a hefty return on that investment. When describing Cohen, Cheng mentioned his humility, openness, and directness.
