$Moomoo (FUTU.US)$ after a year, I'm out! Hope others are doing better than I. so difficult navigating foreign markets without macro implications. I am too heavily influenced by US macro.
The app really allows access and insights into Asian markets by listening to local investors. You glean a sense of the undertones uncovered by Western media and local political/social sentiment. INVALUABLE!
However, the lag on the app when you make a purchase is unbearable! Trades are nearly instantaneous on US trading apps like Morgan, Goldman, or Schwab.
Are others out there experiencing "lags" when you put in an order only to miss out on opportunity? When an equity is running, it is near impossible to get in where you want.

austinwm : unfortunately it seems, if you want real time quotes with moomoo you'll have to pay a subscription fee. I trade with fidelity and TD Ameritrade. They offer real time quotes for free.
I'll keep my account here because I think they are still improving and may be a great platform in the future. I also just purchased a few shares of the company.
dk mooOP austinwm: Already on multiple platforms, thus the knowledge of lag. When you have lag, you lose on the same "limit" purchase/sale when there is lag because highs and lows fluctuate by the second.
This is an awesome platform for other things, one of which is the ability to have these discussions with people from multiple in different countries. Lag often happens (in milliseconds) due to proximity to serve and its proximity to the market. On this platform, asian based traders seem to not have a high a lag as US based ones.
