Federal Reserve Policy Outlook
Federal Reserve Governor Waller indicated that despite recent progress in inflation, several months of positive data are needed before considering a rate cut. If data remains weak over the next 3-5 months, a rate cut might be considered by the end of the year.
Waller rated the latest U.S. CPI report a C+, noting only modest progress towards the Fed's 2% inflation target.
