PokaiTrader : you need ensure tx gets completed i.e. CDS updated before the record date(usually next trade day after x-div). So seller selling on ex-date still retains the dividend.
if buying, you gotta buy ,T+2 before x-div date?
like when I bought another share on x-div date then wait, wait and still waiting like few months ady. Noob learning pain!
