I don't think you understand... they are tethered if BTC went to 9 dollars ETH would be 1. If BTC goes to 100k ETH will be 30k. So if you are buying ethereum, you want to know if BTC up or down. There are maybe 3 or 4 that don't follow BTC movements. ETH is not one of them. What they are for doesn't matter. It's on BTC's chain.
