Elon Musk's xAI raises $6 billion funding from BlackRock, Nvidia, AMD, and others
Billionaire Elon Musk's artificial intelligence (AI) company on Monday, December 23, raised $6 billion from marquee investors like BlackRock, Nvidia Corp., and AMD, among others, to expand AI infrastructure, according to the company's official blog note posted on Monday.
The AI company disclosed that the funds raised from the Series C round will be used to develop infrastructure and invest in research and development.
“The funds from this financing round will be used to further accelerate our advanced infrastructure, ship groundbreaking products that will be used by billions of people, and accelerate the research and development of future technologies enabling the company’s mission to understand the true nature of the universe," said xAI in the release.
My Take:
1. This may be a sign that X.ai and Nvidia can collaborate to solve artificial intelligence issues.
Elon Musk has welcomed NVIDIA’s investment. In a post on X, Musk noted that “It’s an honor to have NVIDIA as an investor.”
2. The difference between X.ai and other artificial intelligence projects, the former will produce artificial intelligence that must be truthful.
The recent funding round will accelerate xAI’s infrastructure, product development, and research. It also helps the company develop AI systems that are truthful, competent, and maximally beneficial for all of humanity.
3. The Muskonomy advantage
By aligning itself with the Muskonomy, xAI not only gains access to invaluable resources but also inherits the credibility and market confidence associated with Musk’s brand.

If you really want to help people with income issues, you should suggest ways to help and not complain about the fund is raised small.

晴瓦林 JK Fan : Why should Musk's spare money be distributed to you, if you don't even have to worry about food or lodging. Do you know or not? Now many people are struggling to pay back their rent due to inflation. Also, they invented these “AI” neural networks, and now many criminals use the face or voice of someone in the family to defraud the elderly of money. Otherwise, the company cut corners, and people lost all their jobs. Jobs are already extremely difficult to find, and now AI is stepping in as a middleman. I've never heard from anyone close to me that they want this technology. I told you that I would have slept by the side of the road a long time ago if my family hadn't helped me. The safety and regulatory aspects of these AI experiments have not been processed yet, so they will be released and sold to everyone. These AI tools only become popular due to hype; once people get tired of trying them out, their customers disappear.
晴瓦林 ZnWC OP : What's very foresight about that? If they're just dropping the word "groundbreaking" and "used by billions of people" without dealing with the current issues, and they don't even seem like they bothered to try. Asides from spreading unrealistic hype to AI, which is a good factory of misinformation and "corporate culture." They haven't been combating the misinformation by checking the information in like Google Gemini as far as I know. With corporate culture, the models will be made to align with their culture while confidently letting the LLM said that their opinions are neutral. I understand that I don't have a solution to solve living difficulties. But I wonder when someone will start using AI to deal with parabens on our foods, cosmetics, and drugs along with clean energy? Or even, alzheimer's disease. Parabens are an environmental threat as well aside from energy pollution. Solving the real issues is priceless as you said, but AI projects don't seem to solve any real issues in a meaningful way that the world had. They're still pretending that AI will be beneficial in an impactful way to people in every single article.

What I meant was that your comment was wrong, because the 6 billion people put together had nothing to do with the opinions you shared, so you can't put the questions you think about on others. He's not the president; he's not the president; he can't control this; you can go to relevant content to comment on these statements. That's right.
ZnWC OP 晴瓦林 : Paraben started to be added to products in the 1950s. AI new breakthrough happened in early 2024 (OpenAI ChatGTP). Its application in drug design is still in an early stage. You are trying to confuse others that Al is related to paraben.

From what you said, you are likely experiencing the fear of artificial intelligence or Technophobia. Whether AI is a hype, it is too early to conclude. This is what X.ai is doing to make sure artificial intelligence tell the truth and not become a threat to human. As we can't stop AI development, we must learn more about it and to use it with responsibility.
