Dirty play? Manipulation?
Apple was on a monster run up as we entered 2024.
Institutions then took profits by dumping shares with the help of 2 big downgrades.
Apple got flushed from 190s to 180s, declining about 5% in the process. Lots of bad news came out eg Apple watch ban, slow demand in China.
When this happened, there could be some institutions collecting shares at low 180s….
Next thing you know, we have an upgrade, and Apple it’s currently up more than 2.7% at the time of drafting this post - almost hitting 190. And suddenly we are talking about AI, Apple’s Vision Pro and what not.
Manipulation by big institutions? You be the judge.
