1M65 : there is no "best" day to buy shares la. if we have a crystal ball and kW which are the best days then we will be millionaire.
1M65 : if U don't have any holding in dbs, U can just buy alittle to start a position. once price drop, buy somemore to DCA down.
aft ex-date will sure drop but the drop will be limited and range bound. it will go back up thereafter. gone are the days you can pick dbs on the cheap.
but if U have start and fear of buying exp then don't start better. U can never buy at the bottom or at a good price. we can just avg and dca down. there will always be investors with lower avg buy-in price as they have been accumulating since along time ago
1M65 : U want value buy then buy UOB. Among the 3 local banks, uob is the most value. dbs is priced at a premium always. however, interms of div payout, dbs payout the most. but be prep to pay premium
