profitpilot : Not as direct as you think but I'll try to make it short
1. Basically whatever number of shares you have, you get 10% extra. 100 shares - you get 10 bonus shares. 90 shares - you get 9 shares.
2. Yes you can sell them. Odd lots are allowed. Means you can sell just 9 shares itself for example.
3. No the price will not be 35.95. When the bonus shares are issued, the share price will drop proportionately which will be 32+ per share.
4. In addition, odd lots are usually bought at a premium and sold at a discount because they don't make up 100 shares.
104279293OP : Thank you, so I recommend buying 100 shares, which is more cost-effective, even if you sell them, you don't need a discounted price, right
profitpilot 104279293OP: Personally I think if you're in for the bonus shares, just hold don't sell. You get 10% in BOTH capital gains and dividends in the long run. If you're planning to sell bonus shares immediately after getting them, most likely you won't profit that much and it's not worth it.
beaver Queen : when will bonus share issue ?
Imso : if I got 1518 I will get fractional shares since got decimal? or will round up
104279293OP profitpilot: Thank you. If I buy 110 shares and sell 10 shares in the future, is it also a discounted price
profitpilot beaver Queen: Issuance is 30 April
profitpilot Imso: 1518 shares means 151.8 shares bonus but no decimal allowed. So they will give you the cash equivalent for that 0.8 shares.
profitpilot 104279293OP: Yes. Doesn't matter when you sell it will be discounted.
104279293OP profitpilot: It turns out that 100 shares are less discounted than fractional stock trading, right
