fearless Puppy_9024 : There are a few times  which DBS does not drop after ex-dividend. Base on theory, the share price should drop after ex-dividend. It is hard to do a forecasting model to predict. if you are playing short term, you can sell before market closes on 12Nov as that is the date people rush to buy the stock to get the dividend. if you are doing it long term, you can just close your eye and look at the share appreciation and dividend over the years.

Sir Loin Desmond Desmond : I'm assuming you're new to this. As long as you hold till ex dividend date (XD), you get the dividend. No need to wait for payout date. Basically, in this case, can sell on 13 Nov when market opens and you'll still get dividend. But be aware that price often drops on XD and sometime more than actual dividend amount. So weigh your options i.e. sell with whatever profit you have before XD or take the dividend.
