  • CNNT : CKI has a unique business model that caters to quite a large consumer base, ie., those who do not want to commit to the upfront purchase of certain electrical products. However, their offer price is quite high, and recent IPOs have not done that well. So, I don't think it will fly on  debut day.

  • Muntri George CNNT : Yeah, Ridicous high price.

  • 103575541 : Not Bullish~The product has no cost-effectiveness.

  • Hase Investment King : Cuckoo dominates Malaysia’s water purifier rental market with ~19.6% revenue share, supported by its integration of fintech and rental business models1113.
Growth Projections: The company projects a 17.3% CAGR in net profit through 2025, aiming for RM163.1 million in net income11. Southeast Asia’s appliance rental sector is also forecasted to grow at ~9.9% annually through 202911.
Valuation Upside: Analysts estimate a fair value of RM1.53 per share (18.6% upside from the revised IPO price of RM1.08), contingent on successful execution
    My guess: 0 ~ 10% up

  • Lucas Cheah : 🏠 What Does the Company Do?

Cuckoo International Bhd is a home appliance and wellness company based in Malaysia. It is best known for selling and servicing:
    • Water purifiers
    • Air purifiers
    • Home appliances (like pressure multi-cookers, induction hobs, etc.)
    • Mattresses and wellness products
    • Home maintenance and cleaning services (e.g. indoor air quality service, water filter maintenance)

Cuckoo operates under the “Beyond Standards” brand and positions itself as a premium lifestyle brand focusing on health, cleanliness, and modern living.

💰 How the Company Makes Money

Cuckoo earns revenue through two main business models:
    1. Product Sales
    • Direct sale of home appliances such as air purifiers, water filters, cookers, and beds.

    2. Rental/Subscription Model
    • Instead of paying the full price upfront, many customers subscribe or rent Cuckoo products for a monthly fee over several years.
    • This model brings in recurring income and includes maintenance services.

    3. Home Services & Care Plans
    • Additional revenue comes from offering cleaning services, product upgrades, and annual care/maintenance packages.

This hybrid business model offers both one-time and recurring revenue, providing stability and growth potential.

📊 What to Watch in Company’s Upcoming Earnings

While Cuckoo is only now going public, here are key things investors should watch once it starts reporting quarterly earnings:
    1. Revenue Growth
    • Is the company growing its customer base? Look at the number of active subscriptions and product sales volume.

    2. Recurring Income
    • Recurring subscription revenue vs. one-off product sales – higher recurring income signals financial stability.

    3. Customer Retention
    • How many customers renew or upgrade their plans? High retention equals strong brand trust and long-term revenue.

    4. Gross Margin
    • Watch margins – higher margin means better control over cost of goods and services.

    5. Expansion Plans
    • Growth into new markets (e.g. Southeast Asia) or new service lines like smart appliances or wellness tech could boost future earnings.

    ⚠️ Risks and Challenges

    1. Market Saturation
    • Malaysia’s home appliance market is becoming competitive, especially in urban areas.

    2. Economic Sensitivity
    • As a premium brand, Cuckoo could face pressure if consumer spending drops due to inflation or economic slowdown.

    3. Subscription Model Risk
    • Recurring revenue is great, but relies on long-term customer commitment. If customers cancel early, that can hurt cash flow.

    4. Supply Chain and Costs
    • As with all hardware-based companies, rising raw material or shipping costs could impact profits.

    5. Technology and Innovation
    • Cuckoo must continue to innovate to stay ahead of rivals offering cheaper or newer smart tech alternatives.

    🔮 Outlook for 2025

Cuckoo’s upcoming listing is expected to support brand expansion, product innovation, and regional growth. The company is already well known in Malaysia, with a strong reputation for customer service and wellness-oriented marketing.

    Positive drivers for 2025:
    • Continued growth of health-conscious middle-income consumers
    • Expansion into new Southeast Asian markets
    • More customers opting for subscription plans over ownership
    • Entry into smart appliance segment

Cuckoo’s hybrid model — selling and renting appliances while offering full-service support — positions it well in a market where convenience, cleanliness, and health are growing priorities.

    📌 Summary

Cuckoo International Bhd is a fast-growing Malaysian home appliance company focused on premium, wellness-driven living. It makes money through product sales and long-term subscriptions. With its upcoming IPO, investors will be watching for growth in recurring income, customer retention, and market expansion.

    For investors, key takeaways:
✅ Strong brand and customer service focus
✅ Recurring income model gives predictable revenue
✅ Watch for expansion beyond Malaysia and into smart devices
✅ Be mindful of economic downturns and rising costs

Cuckoo’s listing offers an opportunity to invest in a modern lifestyle and health brand — ideal for those seeking exposure to consumer wellness and tech-enabled home services in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
