  • Amp : 😂 This is laughable, AMD won’t even feel it. It’s a Drop of water in a lake. lol

  • 103918829 : Can china request companies in china to stop using NVDA chip?

  • Bill A : For the short-term, there’ll be some price drop due to speculation. Not too much drop I predict because AMD is growing with the PEG ratio below 1. For the long-term, AI chip sales along with possible US government subsidies will make the price rebound.

  • digimonX 103918829: This is part of china's effort to "decouple" tech from US. A couple of mths ago, they barred iPhones to be used for govt work. Now they wanna phase out Intel & AMD cpus from govt machines & also limit the use of microsoft windows OS. Source: investors.com/n...
I won't be surprise if nvidia is on the next guideline update.

Personally, I don't think this is a good idea. China's tech has always lagged the west. They have x86 CPUs but performance is not comparable to the latest & greatest fr Intel & AMD. They have mobile OS but can't match IOS & android. When US banned Huawei fr using android OS a few years ago, Huawei initially boasted their own mobile OS that could run android apps, this & that. What happened after that? I knew many patriotic Chinese overseas switching to other brands & Huawei's earnings plummeted. Now Huawei has spun off another brand called Honor to be able to sell android phones.

Actually if u have followed the news, this is not something new. It is just who is doing it. A few yrs ago, the US banned advance server CPUs to be sold to China. Recently, they banned powerful GPUs to be sold to China. They keep banning each other. This type of news just get recycled every few mths. Just buy for the long term, DCA during dips, sit back & relax.

  • Master Corgi : That’s why I said to take profit already while you can

  • Jolly he : Already drop many days news then come. Is not new already

  • digimonX Master Corgi: OK for traders but nonsense for long term investors... Last time, other fortune tellers told me to take profits when AMD was at $15, $20, $25... Back then, I had to think so hard to add my positions @ various prices $12, $15, $20, etc because I was constantly being told AMD was overpriced & fair value was $5 - $9. Looking back now, buying @ $20 or even $50 or $80 look like a genius. Give this another 3 years, cost price of $170+ will be irrelevant. AI will have legs to run.

Based on my experience & with my other colleagues who trade, retail traders don't make consistent profits. They may make $5k or $10k a "bet" when lucky but this is few & far between. I just buy & do nothing. Over 10 years, when I average my returns, I get 6 digit gains per year. All for doing nothing. This is why I keep telling people to invest long term. The only issue is finding the right company/asset. This is where hard work comes in to study, read & research.

  • Master Corgi digimonX: 😂😂😂 Okay sensei as you say so. Goodluck to those following his advice.

  • digimonX Master Corgi: I m sure readers here can differentiate people with knowledge/substance fr empty shells, or rather pests...

  • Master Corgi digimonX: I’m sure readers can also see people with trading badges and the level 🤓 who has and who doesn’t 🤭 hehehe
