  • toomanyscammersOP : hello @Moomoo Lily may I ask why this stock's highest historical rate used to be over 3.5 but right now, it only shows it's all time high as 3.4? may I check if there were any adjustments to the fund somehow? thx!

  • Moomoo Lily toomanyscammersOP: Hi, @Moomoo Buddy Please assist. Thanks!

  • Moomoo Buddy toomanyscammersOP: Dear valued customer, the default price was adjusted, you can refer to the following steps to change it: Me - Settings - Quotes - Chart settings - Price adjustment - Unadjusted. Have a nice day!

  • toomanyscammersOP Moomoo Buddy: i see! thanks for the clarification! may I check what's the reason for the adjusted price too? thank you! and does this apply to all tickers? undefined

  • toomanyscammersOP Moomoo Buddy: by the way, u meant the backward adjusted setting thing right? how does it affect the quotes and what does it mean? I changed it to unadjusted but there was no difference.

  • Moomoo Buddy toomanyscammersOP: Dear valued customer, it's adjusted for all stocks, Stock prices adjustment is the repair of the stock price by charting the price movement according to the actual ups and downs of the stock and adjusting the volume to the same equity caliber. After a stock has ex-rights or ex-dividend, the stock price then changes.
Not adjust (Actual): When a listed company has a corporate action (like dividend payment or split/reverse split), a certain difference in stock price will show between before and after the ex-rights date. In reality, there is no significant change in stock value before and after the ex-date. However, when this price change reflects in the technical indicators, it may affect the accuracy of the indicators and the judgment of some investors.
Adjust forward (default): Adjust the pre-ex-rights data based on the price point on the first day after the ex-date.
Adjust backward: Adjust the ex-rights data based on the price point on the last day before the ex-date.
Possible scenarios: Take Tencent(00700.HK). The lowest price adjusted forward is negative, and the current price adjusted backward is well above the current traded market price. Have a nice day!

  • toomanyscammersOP : I dun understand this sorry@Moomoo Buddy

  • Moomoo Buddy toomanyscammersOP: Dear valued customer, for example some stock they have corporate action call cash dividend, it’s original price( before dividend) is 100 and this time they issue 10 for cash dividend, then after ex-date, maybe the stock price will become 90. If you check adjusted price, the original price is no more there, it updated to 90, but if you change the settings to No adjust( Actual), you can see 100. Thanks for your support. Have a great day!

  • toomanyscammersOP Moomoo Buddy: oh I see! so this will affect mostly stocks that issue dividends right@Moomoo Buddy ? thanks ya!

  • toomanyscammersOP Moomoo Buddy: eh. but this didn't answer the question why the stock's historical high shows a lower high too... it was min 3.5+ I remember but it only shows 3.4 now. will historical low and high be affected during dividends issue too?
