Repeat after me- “My original shares are never coming back”....
I can see by the continuation of yesterday’s theme of focusing on shares not showing and which brokers still show them at what price that many need a reality check.
The Company delisted the stock and terminated the shares. Those shares are now deemed “worthless” yet our positions are still recorded. Those shares can never come back.
Now take a deep breath. I know it’s not fun to see zero’d out accounts but the record of ownership does not go away.
The Company (BBBYQ/DK Butterfly) is obviously looking to emerge from ch11. Historically shareholders would get wiped out as higher level creditors would only receive payout and new shares in the new company.
But……..with NOLS anywhere from —1-2.5b and shorted to Uranus this is no normal bankruptcy. The only way to take advantage of these 2 is to reinstate shareholders with shares in new company.
So everyone chill, your old shares are dead and worthless as we await news. This covers all brokers so no need to keep posting or to call/chat with your broker. Take a deep breath, relax, and wait for this to play out.
