AU Morning Wrap: ASX Slips; Miners Lead Losses

At the opening bell, The $S&P/ASX 200(.XJO.AU)$ fell 36.6 points, or 0.5 per cent to 7477.4. The All Ordinaries fell by a similar margin.

$Core Lithium Ltd(CXO.AU)$: Core Lithium is the worst performing on the benchmark, falling 6.2 per cent to 19.7¢ after analysts at Goldman Sachs cut the price target for the embattled battery metals play to 15¢. Shares are down more than 80 per cent in the last 12 months.

$Rio Tinto Ltd(RIO.AU)$: Rio Tinto has held firm on its 2024 iron ore shipment targets, after shipping 86.1 million tonnes in the final quarter of 2023. Shares are steady at $128.40.

$Coast Entertainment Holdings Ltd(CEH.AU)$: Dreamworld operator Coast Entertainment is assessing the impact of a spate of wild weather hitting Australia’s north-east coast on the company’s amusement parks. Shares are down 2.4 per cent to 41¢.

$HUB24 Ltd(HUB.AU)$: Investment platform HUB24 is 1.7 per cent lower at $36.10 after recording inflows of $4.5 billion in its December quarter.
