AU Evening Wrap: ASX 200 Close 0.4% Higher Amid Tech Strength
$S&P/ASX 200(.XJO.AU$ closed up 0.4% at 7643.6, driven by technology strength. The ASX 200 closed 0.2% lower for the week.
Most sectors finished in the green, while the utilities and property trust sectors were outliers, closing lower. Tech shares advanced 1.5%, while consumer discretionary stocks closed 1.5% higher.
As the earnings season continues, $Brambles Ltd(BXB.AU$ added 0.6% after lifting its interim dividend, as well as its FY outlook.
$Woodside Energy Group Ltd(WDS.AU$ also closed flat after saying it agreed to sell a stake in the Scarborough JV to Japan's Jera for US$1.4 billion.
