Anyone know the technical details of SMX?
$SMX (Security Matters) (SMX.US)$ Many people invested in SMX, made or lost money, but what SMX really do? Generally speaking, most people probably know that SMX is using Molecular marker for tracking materials. This is just a general concept. Do anyone know more details?
1) What is their molecular marker?
From the homepage, it seems SMX is using some kind of polymers that could have unique seqence and unique spectrum. A special detector could detect and record these information, generating digital ID.
2) What are the potential applications of SMX molecular markers?
a) Precious metals, such silver: They are trying to produce silver containing those molecular markers.
At first glance, it seems a good idea as silver is now could have its unique ID. Questions: what percentage of molecular marker there? 0.5%, 1%? Are they going to produce one kg per ID or one ton per ID? How to make sure the marker mix with silver well and equally? or they could end up with silver containing some chunks of polymers? Customers really like to purchase this kind of silver?
b) Plastics: They are trying to produce plastics containing those molecular markers. Questions: how much commercial value from this application? Why plastics producers want to track their product? Importantly, what the impact of those molecular marker on the quality and properties of the plastics?
c) In their home page, the first video suggest that they could track the parts of airplane. This is a fiction! No one dare to put the molecular polymers into airplane parts ........without knowing the impact of those polymers on the safety!
Overall, it seems SMX has a long way to go before they could produce any products that could generate revenue. Frankly, many of their claims look like empty talk so far.

Sir Scalpsalot : good question, it’s best to do your own research and get your own idea of company read all the details, news from multiple angles. AI is the best tool for searching company details. Usually when I seach a company, I only search by the ticker name.
baqklin : it's for tracking, let's say a company tries to dispose of plastics in an unregulated way, they can track you.
