Altice Shares Climb 50% Amid Reports Charter is Mulling Takeover of Rival

Charter Communications is exploring the takeover of Altice, as competition for broadband customers intensified, Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter. Charter and other cable providers are losing customers as they flee in favor of streaming services, according to the report.
