1) What is your outlook on AI technology? How do you think AI will impact our lives？
AI is the next unstoppable wave as increasingly, more corporations, governments and organizations invest in AI and look to deploy it in various ways.
Banks, card issuers like Visa and Mastercard and insurers employ it to detect fraud; it can be used to generate life-like photographs and professional-looking artworks and restore photos and videos; those doing research are using AI to collate and analyse information.
AI can be used to analyse customers’ consumption pattern and provide suggestions; it can predict diners’ food preferences and come up with new recipes. In future, many traditional jobs that interact with customers are likely to be replaced by AI to improve efficiency and save on manpower costs (Argh, bemoans the inner me that prefers personal touch in customer service).
That is not to say there are no obstacles ahead. Invasion of privacy is one area that may need regulation; another concern is the infringement of intellectual property rights, especially in the world of art.
2) Are you bullish on the tech market? Which AI tech giant do you believe has the potential for significant growth in the coming years?
I’m bullish about $Microsoft(MSFT.US$ and $Alphabet-C(GOOG.US$ . They have been market leaders in their respective fields and have the vision, scale and resources to finetune and advance AI.

aoimizu : I also feel there's huge growth potential in AI chip designers. This market will probably be more diversified, as even non-chip makers like Microsoft and Apple are exploring this area. Exciting times ahead! but the costs are also real, not only in terms of $ but the environmental cost will be massive. I wonder who can find the sweet spot and be a winner
DadacaiOP aoimizu: That’s true. I’m holding a small position in a company that foresees it won’t be profitable in the next few years because of its investment in AI. I was not aware it would be vesting in AI. I may exit my position.
