SpyderCall : It is a sign of illiquidity. Not a high volume and/or turnover. Not a lot of investors are actively trading the ticker. Investors are not interested in the name. This this usually makes the bid ask spread very wide so you dont get good prices upon entey and exit. It can lead to big swings in price. That is why you will see gaps all over the place with long-legged dojis, even on the one minute candles. You could always make money from barcoding stocks. Barcodes can travel up or down. But they are more risky and very volatile. It is just usually better to pick a ticker with more stable and predictable price action.
