Advanced Chip Manufacturing is a HOT CAKE
A new advanced semiconductor manufacturing facility will be built in Germany , under the framework of European Chips Act.
It’s a JV set-up by $Taiwan Semiconductor(TSM.US$ which holds 70% stake , and the remaining were equally held by Bosch , $NXP Semiconductors(NXPI.US$ , $INFINEON TECHNOLOG(IFNNY.US$
This advanced fab will be named ESMC (E for Europe) , and it involves an investment sum of EUR 11 bil , is scheduled to open in 2027.
Speaking frankly , due to geopolitical tension , TSMC has lost its nature as a pure business entity, the corporate decisions made seem were just merely to fulfill respective political agenda. i can foresee that in the future , the operation of TSMC will no longer be lean.
