  • 10baggerbamm : so here's the plus and the minus from my viewpoint. election year advertising spikes the amount of money that comes in from both sides is in the billions of dollars so you will see a surge going into third fourth quarter as a result of it being a US election year. the downside if the US goes into a recession and this is been the longest forecast recession going on 3 years now that has never happened by Janet yellen's terms however 2022 q1 Q2 did have two consecutive negative quarters of GDP so anyone who's ever had econ 101 understands that that technically is a recession during the Biden administration but they just moved the goal post change the definition to include that unemployment has to go up in order for them to quantify it as a recession. all that being said during a recession advertising drops dramatically at dollars is reduced significantly so that's my two cents
