Next, we discuss about what the Fed will do in September and what are my plans for MooMoo Cash Plus in Q3 2023.
As you know, the next Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting will be held on September 19-20, 2023 (Tue, Wed). This committee makes key decisions on interest rates, which will have an effect on Money Market funds such as those in the MooMoo Cash Plus.
Based on the CME FedWatch tool, it is likely that the Fed may hold the rates steady for the Sep 2023 meeting. This probability may change due to many factors, that may include scenario where wars have expanded to more areas (*1, *2), as we get nearer to the FOMC meeting.
