when do i get the interest

hi, very curious! as this is a fund, it will be affected by the NAV movement, but there is a yield to it, so do i get interest on a daily basis? (if it's 4% on 10k then 400/365), and if the NAV drop i might lose some capital?
thanks for answering!

  • Moomoo Lily : Hi, @Moomoo Buddy Please assist. Thanks!

  • Parallax : I wanna know too

  • RandomRando : You will get about $1 a day for 10k deposit, except for weekends, and then on Tuesdays usually, you get about $3 to make up for the weekends. Of course, it takes a few days before the daily interest starts being shown.

It is very rare for the value to drop. I think it’s only happened a few times in years, and it’s just a tiny drop that gets cancelled out the next 1-2 days. This is a very stable fund.

  • nice name Moomoo Lily: will the reply be given here? like to know where can we see the nav or price of the fund?

  • Moomoo Buddy : Dear client, yes, due to the movement of the NAV, you will receive some returns or get some loss. The NAV of this Fullerton SGD cash fund, you can check its official website. And to check the revenue , you can go to 'Accounts- Universal account-Assets-Funds-click on the position of your funds-Revenue details' to check. Thank you for your support and have a nice day ahead~undefined

  • Dadacai : There is no interest but moomoo designed the app such as that any day-to-day change in NAV is shown as a daily revenue (positive or negative) in Revenue Details. You can actually check your statements to calculate the overall value by multiplying the number of units by the current NAV https://www.fullertonfund.com/fund/fullerton-sgd-cash-fund-a/. If the NAV drops, you may lose some capital but the risk is low due to the assets the fund invests in. Cash Plus - a possible vehicle to park your idle funds

  • trojan1337OP Moomoo Buddy: understood. as for the yield, is it being calculated and credited on a daily basis?

  • Dadacai trojan1337OP: Which yield are you referring to? The past 7-day yield or from a yield coupon?

  • trojan1337OP Dadacai: there should be a payment to it as fullerton cash fund has many short term deposits which are less than 4weeks to maturity. it functions typically like a high yield savings with very low risk, unlike a typical bond or equity fund that is based on day to day NAV change.

i might be wrong though, thus clarifying over here. thanks!

  • trojan1337OP RandomRando: yes it is very stable as we are currently in a high interest rate environment for the last 2 years.

before the inflation and interest hike this is a fund that gives 1% annualised returns. interest rate will still be high for the next 1 to 2 years, so short term wise if we get the interest credited daily it is pretty decent for a low risk instrument.

but with gradually stable or declining interest, the NAV might be affected
