Wolfspeed's stock price plummeted a few months ago as customer Tesla reduced the use of SiC, but on July 5, it signed a supply contract worth 2 billion US dollars with automotive chip manufacturer Renesas (Renesas) to ensure the supply of silicon carbide chips and epitaxial wafers for 10 years, and the bottom of the stock price rebounded close to 70%.
MPI, as an OSAT company, helps WOLFSPEED with packaging, and uses PENTA's ATE machines. This is their relationship. PENTA is also one of the few companies whose turnover from 2021 to 2023 has repeatedly broken record highs, mainly due to contributions from the automotive business.
