$Meta Platforms(META.US)$ short
First attempt ever.
Would it not be funny if $META topped on the thread app news?
$META bottomed on the layoffs and cost cutting efforts months ago under $100. Facebook focused, specifically on efficiency and costs.
Now threads comes out out of nowhere, splitting the focus into the new product and providing additional costs.
Best thing? Everyone is ultra bullish on this news.
Bad news is rarely what tops stocks, good news is rarely what bottoms stocks. Read between the lines.

I started a bearish wager on $META today for full disclosure, which hedges some of my exposure for my portfolio once again.
-> small so far and I covered 1/2 into the move into 290 as I wanted to give myself more objectivity and time to think about the sizing strategy I want.
Given this mornings 200k loss on cuts, my 1/2 cut reflects my uncertainty in regards to my emotional state.
I am 'sure' I am not emotional, but being sure while being frustrated, even if short term does not equate to objective certainty.
Just to explain, I cut 1/2 on a position that was too big to begin with. 1/2 cut puts me at 2/3 of what I would normally play with.
I will mix options with common if the trade unfolds in the manner I want.

This wager needs to work quickly once again, grind and pushback will mean I misread the situation. If I lose I will lose small, If I am right I will make 7-10x my risk.
I understand many will disagree, but this is the way I have always traded, against the grain with room to be wrong a lot. fortunately it has paid off handsomely over time.
