Unity Software - Apple Catalyst?

After reaching historical highs in the previous years, the stock is currently just trading below USD 50 a share.

But things might be changing for this gaming engine company.

When Apple Vision Pro was announced, many actually missed out on the fine details on how Apple would be achieving its spatial computing feat.

Sure there are the M2 Pro chips and the new R1 chip. But that only encompasses the hardware and infrastructure part of bringing spatial computing to life.

There has to be software in place to bridge the gap between infrastructure, visualization, and computing.

This is where Unity comes to play as a partner.

The bear camp thesis is this: How sure are we that Apple Vision Pro will experience a sellout reception?

And how does Unity actually earn from partnering with Apple? Will there be an ongoing subscription that Apple pays Unity?

Or will it be a flat fee? Or a fixed revenue per unit sold?

How Unity benefit is still unknown, and it may not truly enjoy the upside even if the product is a sellout.
