NVIDIA

The US chip stock NVIDIA (NVIDIA) surged 30%, and the Nasdaq index rose more than 2%, driving a strong rebound in Malaysian technology stocks and an overall rise in stock prices.

Today's rising list of Malaysian stocks is dominated by technology stocks. Technology, which has been sluggish for a long time, is temporarily bullish. Whether the rise can continue depends on the future trend of US technology stocks.
Malaysia Pacific (MPI) led the way. As of 11:20 this morning, it had risen 52 cents to RM26.24.

FRONTKN (FRONTKN) rose 17 cents to RM3.00, and GREATEC (GREATEC) rose 15 cents to RM3.99.
