  • Doug Saddler : As hopeful as I am, Hertz had a ton of cars to sell off during the peak of the chip shortage. I don't think towels, bed sheets and kitchen gadgets will have the same effect. Baby is the only asset worth aquiring.

  • Ken Griffin Charity : This is why it’s important to look at businesses. Look at how used car prices surged in Q3 of 2020. Hertz was in a unique position to take advantage of the global car shortage and sold off 1/3 of their existing fleet.

    And when pandemic restrictions eased up, demand for car rentals also went up, once again working in their favour.

    But bbby on the other hand? There is no lifeline. No special circumstances to pull off a Hertz miracle. All we have here is a false equivalency.
