Ark Invest said that Tesla will be worth $2,000 per share in 2027.
"We think that the robotaxi opportunity globally will deliver $8 to $10 trillion in revenue by 2030 and is one of the most important investment opportunities of our lifetimes,” Wood told CNBC in an April 20 interview. “One of the reasons for that is it is going to save lives. Autonomous driving is going to take away the human error, we believe."
Elon Musk said in Tesla's earnings call that he plans to bring a robotaxi – with neither steering wheel nor pedals – to market by the end of 2024, despite hurdles in development, testing, production and state-by-state regulation.
Despite Cathie Wood's bold valuation of the automaker, many investors have express their skepticism.
Tesla is way behind Waymo, Cruise and Baidu in AV. Their safety record is not very good. There were some crashes. They are replacing sensors with cameras to cut costs. Cameras are not good in some circumstances such as fog, etc. Safety must not be sacrificed for costs.
The future of AVs may not be robotaxis, but AV ride- hailing.
Cathie Wood has also giving a ridiculously high tp for BTC. Look at what level it plunged to.

ZnWC : AV or robotaxi technology whoever roll out is still a breakthrough which will benefit to the whole EV industry. Eventually the news will benefit Tesla who have tons test drive AV data and best selling EV in US. Ark knows Tesla's potential. The analogy is OpenAI breakthrough in ChatGTP bring share price rally to all AI related stocks and ETF.

bullrider_21OP : Cathie's USD2,000 tp is based on Tesla being the leader in the AV market. As I've shown, it's far from it. It's a long way from Waymo, Cruise, Baidu and Mercedes-Benz. It only has a Level 2 driving automation certification.
ZnWC bullrider_21OP: Whatever reason Cathie Wood's is based on, she put the money where her mouth is. This is not a baseless prediction. She sees the potential in AV and how the breakthrough will benefit Tesla eventually.
bullrider_21OP ZnWC: As Tesla is not a leader in AV, it can't get a big piece of the AV pie. Hence, USD2,000 is not achievable.
Cathie has given some ridiculous predictions, alright.
She predicted in 2021 that BTC could hit USD500,000 by 2026. Result: after BTC reached its ATH of USD69,000 in Nov 2021, it crashed to USD15,600 in Nov 2022.
In Feb 2023, she predicted that BTC could hit USD1.5 million by 2030. An even more outrageous figure.
