Markets remain strong and the global economy is holding up better than expected. Yet, sentiment turns more bearish in April.
CNBC surveyed 400 Chief Investment Officers, equity strategists, portfolio managers and contributors who manage money about where they stood on the markets for the second quarter and beyond. 68% of them anticipated there would be more room to fall for the $S&P 500 Index(.SPX.US)$.

Likewise with JPMorgan's surveys, which showed that 95% expect the S&P 500 to be lower by year end, and only 26% would be likely to increase equity exposure over the coming days.

As well as Bank of America's Global Fund Manager Survey, which showed that investor allocation to equities relative to bonds drops to its lowest level since the global financial crisis.

  • 102063402 : "Be fearful when others are greedy, and be greedy when others are fearful." - Warren Buffett

  • 101814969 : Neutral because in a bearish environment there's opportunity to buy up those stocks with "good" fundamentals for the next cycle. Not feeling bearish means an opportunity to review existing portfolio and rebalance it that suits the environment and my strategy that favour bonds more than equity.

  • Kaya papa : All in

  • 73158513 : The bull will chase away the bear 🤡

  • Ixy The Cat : All the signs are there for a massive slowdown in the US economy. When the 10-year vs 2-year bond is an inverted yield curve, recent bank failures, high inflation not under control, dismal corporate earnings, increase in consumer debt, impending commercial real estate disaster and we're not even considering the money printing to fund the military and conflict in Ukraine. And people still think a bull run is always around the corner, 😆

  • ZnWC : Not all stocks are made equal. We can seek out bullish stocks in a bearish market.

  • The Cow King : If US is still intact, what is a "bear"? Are you telling us that all business goes bankrupt? Everyone is still living and not dead no matter how it is.
