Tesla Inc. is building a factory in Shanghai to produce its Megapack battery, Chinese state media reported Sunday. The new factory, where Tesla will manufacture its high-capacity battery for energy storage, is scheduled to break ground in the third quarter this year and start production in the second quarter of 2024, Xinhua News Agency reported.
$Apple(AAPL.US$ shares edged lower by 1.60%, with option volume of 0.73 million, and calls accounted for 52.2%. The 162.50 calls expiring Friday lead the flow with a volume of 72,695.
IDC reported Sunday: Apple global PC shipments fell 40.5% In Q1 YoY.
$Micron Technology(MU.US$ shares rose by 8.04%, with option volume of 0.26 million, five times its 30-day average volume and calls accounted for 58.3%.
Micron Technology stock surged early Monday after semiconductor giant Samsung Electronics said it plans to make "meaningful" cuts to chip production amid a global demand slump.
The announcement by the world's biggest memory chip maker follows $Micron Technology(MU.US)$ own cuts to production and capital expenditure.
$Marathon Digital(MARA.US$ shares jumped 14.04%, with option volume of 0.22 million, and calls accounted for 69.2%. Calls are outnumbering puts at a 2:1 ratio.
Marathon Digital Holdings stock jumped 14% on Monday as bitcoin, the mining of which is Marathon's main revenue stream, rose firmly in the green and eyed a key technical level.
Unusual Stock Options Activity
Some notable call activity is being seen in $Eldorado Gold(EGO.US$ which is primarily being driven by activity on the April 10 17.00 call. Volume on this contract is 24,798 versus open interest of 110, so it's likely that nearly all of the volume represents fresh positioning.
