GRAB Holdings

Today we are going to talk about $Grab Holdings(GRAB.US)$ which is founded in 2012 by Anthony Tan from Malaysia.
This company is very similar to UBER from United Stated, but some might not know Grab which started as a ride-hailing platform focused only on the Southeast Asian Country.

As we can see from the financials statistics which provided by Futu Moomoo platform actually 42% revenue was generated from Singapore follow by 16% from Malaysia ,12% from Philippines and 11% from Thailand. Therefore 80% of GRAB revenues were generated from this 4 country.

Since its founding, GRAB has grown rapidly and diversified its offerings, expanding into other business verticals such as food and parcel delivery, digital payments, and financial services. Today, GRAB is one of the leading technology companies in Southeast Asia, with a presence in over 350 cities across eight countries in the region.

But as an investors like anyone of us, profitably will be our main concern when doing our consideration on investment choices, according to the company financial reports, Grab has yet reported a profit since its inception in 2012, but on the bright side the company revenue was growing annually on 2022/Q4 the company achieved 500m revenue per quarter which was a good achievement from them but in the same quarter GRAB reported a 391m net loss.

From the share price itself, we could see that it has sink drastically from the highest point of 18.1 since it's IPO to 2.2 almost a 90% drop such as crypto huh?
In a nutshell, when the economy and market condition is mediocre, investors should maintain rationale, investing in a start up company which does not make profit at all its very risky until it started to make profit.
