Taobao: Restructuring of Alibaba Gives More Freedom for Collaboration, Weekly Streams with TVB from Apr
$TVB(00511.HK$ recently announced its cooperation with Taobao and joint development of more than 48 live e-commerce broadcasts this year.
Peng Minghua, Chairman of TVB's mainland subsidiary, said that the second live broadcast will be held today and a live broadcast will be held once a week starting from April. More initiative will also be open to Taobao users to participate in discussions with them on the theme of the live broadcast.
Cheng Daofang, General Manager of Alibaba Taobao Live Business Department, said he is positive about the reorganization plan of $BABA-SW(09988.HK$ into six major business units as it will give Taobao more freedom to take advantage of opportunities in the market, enhance the consumer and merchant experience, and give the company better momentum to achieve better in the future.
