Fed has a tough decision to make. On one end, they are afraid that more regional banks will fail, and start affecting the whole banking system.
On the other hand, they are worried about inflation not coming down
Anyway, I think Powell’s words will carry more weight than the rate hike itself.

S Punt 我要你一鋪清袋: By raising interest rates, the cost of borrowing increases and eats into company’s Cashflow and if company can’t survive, it will wind up (bankrupt/ liquidation).
TeslaSmurf : Inflation won’t come down if the FED has to pour into the system (trough the banks) 300 billions (could be much more) of liquidity to guarantee the deposits. Better don’t stress the system anymore, take a pause and see what happens. In the meantime the OIL has gone down to 70 $ and all the supply chain and logistics are improving and getting cheaper. IMO they should pause explaining that the economic environment allows to do it rather than being compelled to do it by political pressures and for the concerns about the banking sector.
