How would you trade when market sentiments conflict with technical analysis?

In times of uncertainty, TA adds on convictions. When conviction wavers, it is better to take profit or stop loss

Before I closed my PUT position at that point, I factored in news of relevant IT and EV companies. AMD is a cyclical company filled with a variety of TAs. This allows for predictable moves in the short term. That said, news can affect fundamentals in the short term. As seen past the breaking point, the flag turns bullish.
Fortunately, I managed to lock in my profit a week before its share price began to recover. This move was very much due to AI news circulating around in a crucial period of time. Even with TA (before the breaking point), it was difficult for me to close my position as I believe the shares should fall further. Nevertheless, my uneasiness pays off to seal the deal in profit.
Learning point:
1. TA pays off in terms of identifying entry points
2. While the trade is ongoing, it is especially important to keep up to date of the news that could waver market fundamentals
3. If you did step 1 well, remember to moderate your expectations, and take profit based on breaking point TA or news or both. *I took profit before it hit the breaking point, and locked in a little higher profit
4. In my opinion, for the short term outlook, cyclical companies with "strong stock fundamentals" are playgrounds for options traders to practise TA.
In conclusion, both TA and market sentiments are equally important. But if I have to choose between the two, I'll stick closely with TA specifically on *Stocks with strong fundamentals*. Moreover, the average retail investors and traders (like me) have limited access to financial news and resources.
Surely, you don't want to go into something you don't understand completely right?
