Sea Cuts More Jobs at Shopee Days After Posting Surprise Profit

Sea Ltd. is cutting more jobs in Shopee, Indonesia's e-commerce department. A few days ago, the company reported that due to large-scale layoffs last year, the company achieved quarterly profit for the first time, which is surprising.

According to a person who has direct knowledge of the matter, the recent layoffs have affected Shope's customer service team in Indonesia with less than 500 full-time and contract workers. The person familiar with the matter said that the affected people had been notified on Thursday.
