SHORTS cover ALL the time and then re open new short positions.
Large brokers are probably not paying 100%+ borrow rate. Thats more retail who short. I can ashure you that Blackrock or any other large institution are not paying another institution 100%+.

Expendabiggles : No one said shorts haven’t covered. They CONTINUE to naked short daily and fail to deliver. AMC has never been on the Securities list this long. Something is happening tho its still not going to be a cake walk. I believe MOASS is imminent and nothing can stop it short of them closing the stock market like its 9-11

AMC is not on the Reg Sho list.
Shorts can continuously cover and create new short positions, which temporarily cover the FTDs.
