My stock performance so far

My paperfolio’s link can be seen above. The stocks I pick are based on value investing philosophy. I won’t go into what that means in this post. I’m a lot more conservative than your average investor. As such, this portfolio only used 50-60% of its cash to buy stocks, while the rest sat idle. In other words, I am up 13% at the time of writing mostly using only 50-75% of my portfolio’s cash (with some exceptions). As I have seen buying opportunties I’ve increased this to roughly 75%. However, I do not plan on going far beyond this because I want to have plenty of cash on hand in case a great buying opportunity presents itself. I do regret not buying $Palantir(PLTR.US)$ when it was around 6.5 and $Apple(AAPL.US)$ 140, and more $Meta Platforms(META.US)$  but oh well, that’s fine.
It’s worth noting that I am also a firm believer that the Nasdaq is greatly overvalued and so I usually have some short positions in either the $Nasdaq Composite Index(.IXIC.US)$ via inverse ETFs ( $ProShares UltraPro Short QQQ ETF(SQQQ.US)$ $ProShares Short QQQ(PSQ.US)$ ) or in $ARK Innovation ETF(ARKK.US)$  the inverse ARKK etf $Tuttle Capital Short Innovation ETF(SARK.US)$
Right now, $Pfizer(PFE.US)$ is my biggest loser, but that’s fine because its under valued. My only regret is buying too much quickly as I don’t want to be too heavily weighted in one stock. But in my personal portfoio I am buying more.
I don’t usually buy penny stocks, but $Castor Maritime(CTRM.US)$ was so undervalued I couldn’t resist. Glad to see it pop today after its spinoff, and so I took some profits.
I’ve added several undervalued stocks in moderate amounts including, but not limited to $Korn Ferry(KFY.US)$ $Fox Corp-B(FOX.US)$ $Perdoceo Education(PRDO.US)$ $Alibaba(BABA.US)$ $Intel(INTC.US)$ Most of these have done really well. But this is a long term portfolio with a horizon of 5-10 years. Performance in the past year doesn’t mean much, but it does seem like value investing is not dead as I am substantially beating the market. You can obviously make more money through trading, but this is an investment based portfolio and outside of betting against over valued markets there will be no intentional day/swing or any type of trading strategies.
