I know Tesla is always volatile but why was there such a big crash after hours when investor day had so many positive plans laid out and will it continue to crash tomorrow.

  • 103978366 : Coming back now

  • 102218509 : it's about expectation vs reality. as long as there is a mismatch, price will go down.

  • 71416259 : The same thing happened when they announced financials and it was nothing but good news. Don’t worry too much about this dip.

  • ZnWC : I don't call it price plummet; Tesla stock price change by 7% is quite normal.

Some day traders or hedge funds like to short sell Tesla. When the price started to drop, panic sell follows (herd mentality). There were people who don't read the TID presentation but posted comment sthat the event is 'vague' or 'without substance'. Some comments are balantly fake info trying to manipulate. Hence if you want to hold this stock, you need conviction. The company's is fundamentally strong as I've posted an article:

Tesla will remain dominance in EV industry for the next 5 years...

Unfortunately market sentiment doesn't always support the positive plan.

  • Andre88888888 : Sell the news even positive earning also can sell off. Happens 70% of the time

  • TeslaSmurf : The truth is that most of those who talk haven’t even watched the presentation, which is RIDICULOUSLY silly if, then, you put your money on it.
The content was great, in synthesis YEARS ahead of any so-called competition: the New Mexican factory will print cars like cookies at 50% lower cost (for the company), 200% faster than the average car builder (VW already takes 3X the time Tesla needs to build a Model Y), in a much smaller footprint factory, lighter and more efficient. No one is near that, not even the good BYD.
