ChatGPT and A.I. Mania
ChatGPT and AI mania are here to stay, at least from an industry life cycle perspective. AI has moved past the start-up and growth stages and it is now at the shakeout stage whereby companies will consolidate by acquiring or merging with competitors to obtain a bigger market share. The next two stages will be maturity and eventually decline, that is where the competition becomes too costly, growth is no longer sustainable and loses its steam.
However for AI is a bit different, it’s not a meme craze but rather a big evolution of where commerce is going to go. Plus there is ample market opportunity and generally, AI application is fundamentally sound. The fact that many of the world’s largest tech companies are embracing AI is evidence of that. It just may take some time before the industry goes into the maturity stage.
To follow the AI craze, I would look for funds with AI-related stocks. Their fund portfolio must include knowingly, the big tech companies working with AI (Microsoft and Alphabet) as well as renowned AI-focused companies such as Nvidia, Apple and Amazon.
Out of the 4 funds, in my opinion, $Franklin Technology Fund(LU0109392836.MF$ is most likely to benefit most as their top 10 portfolio holdings are including the ‘’must have’’ AI hot stocks such as Microsoft Corp, Alphabet INC, Nvidia CORP, Apple INC and Amazon COM INC.

Franklin fund invested mainly in the technology sector (up to two-thirds of its assets). Currently, their total net assets are at USD$7.73 billion, and have a Morningstar 4-STAR overall rating.
Notwithstanding their not-so-impressive past fund performance, $Franklin Technology Fund(LU0109392836.MF$ would be in an advantageous position to benefit from the inevitable AI market buzzing trend surge that will ensue.
