Will the 2022 bottom appear again in 2023?

Despite major tech companies, such as Google ( $Alphabet-A(GOOGL.US)$ , $Alphabet-C(GOOG.US)$ ), Microsoft ( $Microsoft(MSFT.US)$ ), Amazon ( $Amazon(AMZN.US)$ ) letting go of their employees in 2022 (*1), and Apple ( $Apple(AAPL.US)$ ) cutting contractors to slash costs (*2), the U.S. economy continues to stay very strong, with the January jobs reports showing an increase of 517,000 jobs, beating estimates, and the 53-year low unemployment rate (*3).

Besides the strong U.S. economy data, HDB property resale prices continue to accelerate in January 2023 as million-dollar HDB flats surge by 42% in Singapore (*4), despite the cooling measures announced on 29 September 2022 (*5).

Although the Finimize survey (*6) reveals that retail investors believe the stock market will bottom in 2023, 72% continues to buy individual stocks such as Apple, Microsoft, Google, and Meta ( $Meta Platforms(META.US)$ ).

As whether if investors will see the bottom in 2023, there are 3 things that are confirm plus chop, and they are:

More new jobs opportunities waiting to be filled.
More million-dollar properties waiting to be transacted.
More individual stocks, such as the ones in the Nasdaq index ( $Nasdaq Composite Index(.IXIC.US)$ ) and the S&P500 index ( $S&P 500 Index(.SPX.US)$ ) waiting to be bought.
