Options Market Statistics (1/31): SoFi Technologies Stock Seeing Post-Earnings Options Surge

$Tesla(TSLA.US)$ plunged more than 6% following last week's surge, with option volume of nearly 3 million, and calls accounted for 60% of the volume. The 200 calls expiring Friday were traded most actively, with volume of over 180,000.

$SoFi Technologies(SOFI.US)$ guided 2023 adjusted revenue in line with Wall Street's predictions and said it expects to be profitable by the fourth quarter as student loan activity begins to pick up following the potential expiration of the White House loan moratorium this summer. Sofi surged more than 12%, with option volume 5x normal at 800,000 contracts. Calls accounted for 73.5% of the volume. The 7.00 calls expiring February 3 lead the flow with a volume of 140,000.

$General Motors(GM.US)$ reported a higher quarterly net income for the fourth quarter, but said profit in 2023 would fall from last year.
