Taking Profits on Tesla

Over the weekend, I was considering taking profits on tranches I entered at $130 & $150.
I didn’t lose faith in Tesla $Tesla(TSLA.US)$, fundamentals still remain strong.
I am selling partial shares to simply reduce my overall allocation down to 50%.
Tesla is still by far my biggest holdings 💪💪
Also, tesla is very overbought right now. anticipating at least a slight pullback soon.

  • SPACELIGHT : Makes sense to me.

  • TeslaSmurf : Think it better:
If you sell the 130-150, you take them out of your portfolio and its average cost will jump up, just for a few bucks. Not worth it, if you believe in the company: you may never buy them so cheap again.
Considee TSLL (uptrend ~1,5x) and TSLS (downtrend ~1x): in these moments (or whenever you want) you sell your latest position and you pile up new TSLA, discounted with the TSLL or TSLS profits (you decide how many and how much discount x unit: I do 25% minimum at lows, then keep it costing = the latest low=~100$ You will always be fine and you will always keep piling up, not selling TSLA (unless a foreseeable BIG crash).

  • 102893438 SPACELIGHT: Institutional funds have already gone out, and the pullback suddenly didn't go up to 200. A slow pullback began in the short term, but it won't exceed the 135 position
