I hate to say that it hinges on one stock, but it kinda of does -
here is where QQQ is now, hard to see the priceline, apologies, but it's not really important, what's important is that if price continues to rise the MACD needs to push up past the previous high. $Invesco QQQ Trust(QQQ.US$ I have 286.80 as the first support
The Bonds are paused as well $Ishares Iboxx $ High Yield Corporate Bond Etf(HYG.US$ a possible divergence is forming but incomplete, would like to see bonds move up and I would like to see it break resistance around 77
$VIX Index Futures(MAY4)(VXmain.US$ VIX needs a breather before selling pressure continues.
Microsoft $Microsoft(MSFT.US$ reports aftermarket. they are a large weighting of the indexes, and how everything sits should push direction. What they report isn't so important, it's how the market wants to interpret it... Below is where Microsoft is going into earnings... Good earnings or what the market perceives as good news should push the stock to 260, which should turn all the indicator "almost divergences" into full bullish - a miss and we could begin selling then one would like to see support hold in the 230s zone.... My guess - we POP! but that's with the thought we run cool today.
iam still bullish, I would like to see either a cool down to supports or just a continued push. Remember in bull markets or bull reversals price can run Overbought for extended periods of time.
$Tesla(TSLA.US$ Earnings on Wednesday, let's see how today shakes out. still bullish
$Cleveland-Cliffs(CLF.US$ Steel, taking a breather from the big run - do I believe it topped? - Hell No
$iShares Silver Trust(SLV.US$ Touched the 50MA as support, let's see if we get a reversal.
$Stem Inc(STEM.US$ My newer position, looking good, I like the 15 target.
not a lot of time, sorry, recieved some job offers and have been deciding on un-retiring ![]()
my outlook has not changed, we needed a pullback, and we got it. Support should hold.
a little note on some things going on.
1.) Layoffs are GOOD! this is a sign of the bottom, it means companies are streamlined and ready for the "new" economy. Tech OVER HIRED during covid - covid is over - now we need to build, less support tech more labor and AI tech. Stupid money gets spent stupidly now they are fixing stupid.
2.) The WH is absolutely panicked about OIL, prices are doing nothing but going up, no one will sell OIL to them and with Republicans controlling the house there will be NO strategic oil releases (which replaced the lack of production) gas/fuel is only UP from here. They know it and are already playing the blame game. They can't keep blaming Russia although they will still try, now they blame the Republicans for bills that have not passed, do you see how useless and dumb government is. They get away with it because people as a whole are stupid 🐑. just look at how easily the market confuses most. People are easily manipulated, as a human race we have devolved into willing slaves because its easier than working or thinking critically. Wolves know this, sad but true. They lie because they can they know most believe it only because it's easier than effort.

if it's a red day I will be buying - watch your supports to make sure they hold. minor divergences are forming but not on a significant time frame for a huge sell down. Never count out the ability of the market to surprise you.
some can only see the storm, while others see the perfect wave.

Golden_Spoon : @iamiam, thoughts on $Nine Energy Service (NINE.US)$ ? At market open today, price dropped 10%, instant suspension for less than 10 minutes, then price gapped up, then feel rest of day. Nine has been doing well, but does that signal it may be trying to roll over?

I try to stay disciplined and not play earnings but I remember all the news on tesla recalls, chip shortages, trouble with self driving, delivery issues, and high copper demand. Golden_Spoon : yeah... then it just shot up towards the end of post market. hopefully back to business as usual.. headed for the moon!!
what about KOLD vs Boil? to me it feels like boil is trying to find bottom soon, especially with all the volume. I'm upside down in boil, curious if you were in the position if there you see more upside to KOLD to try to balance.
