Singapore Property Investment Sales Drop in Q4
CBRE's data showed that preliminary real estate investment sales declined 55.6 per cent qoq to S$3.2 billion in Q4, with sharp falls in retail and residential asset sales.
Although investor sentiment softened over the second half of 2022, full-year investment sales came in at about S$30.3 billion, or a 9.8 per cent rise year on year (yoy), driven by strong sales in the first half of 2022.

Singapore’s Unemployment Rates Stay Low in November
Singapore's unemployment rates dipped slightly in November and held steady at around pre-pandemic levels, according to the latest figures from the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) on Monday (Jan 9).
The overall unemployment rate nudged down slightly to 1.9 per cent, from 2 per cent in October.

U.S. Market Pessimism Falls to a 10-Week Low
Bullish sentiment, expectations that stock prices will rise over the next six months, rose 3.5 percentage points to 24.0%.
Neutral sentiment, expectations that stock prices will stay essentially unchanged over the next six months, fell 1.5 percentage points to 36.0%.
Bearish sentiment, expectations that stock prices will fall over the next six months, fell 2.1 percentage points to 39.9%.
Consumer prices rose at a 6.5% annual pace in December, marking a sizable deceleration from November and notching the sixth straight month of slowing inflation.
Economists had expected prices to stay flat in December and slow to a 6.5% annual pace from the previous month’s 7.1%.

TSMC Reports Record Net Profit and Revenue on Chip Demand
$Taiwan Semiconductor(TSM.US)$ said Thursday that fourth-quarter net profit rose to a new record thanks to growing demand for high-speed computing and better margins.
The company's operating profit margin improved by 10.3 percentage points from a year earlier to 52.0% in the fourth quarter.
